Jefferson County Genealogical Society offers a number of opportunities for its members to get together to learn and share knowledge.

MONTHLY MEETINGS  are held on the SECOND SATURDAY of most months, beginning at 10:00. Monthly meetings are currently held via ZOOM because of COVID-19 restrictions. Social time begins at 9:30. Registration is REQUIRED. We offer two free meetings per year to non-members. You may request a meeting invitation by writing to jcgswash@gmail.com  and providing your name and email address.

RESOURCE CORNERS are held on the fourth Saturday of most months from 9:30 to 11:00. These classes are designed to allow an in-depth look at an area of genealogical research. One of our members generally leads the discussion, and participants are encouraged to bring their own experiences, questions and problems related to the topic. Resource Corners are currently held via ZOOM because of COVID-19 restrictions.

DISCUSSION GROUPS  / SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS  are hosted by members of the society and meet throughout the month, usually at the Research Center. These meetings were suspended because of COVID-19 restrictions, but COVID precautions, including masking and distancing, have been relaxed. Our members are now invited to the meet at the Research Center with colleagues who share your interests. Click HERE for more information about JCGS Discussion Groups.
